Live Broadcasting - A Technology that Broadcasts Programs on TV

Games or programs that run anywhere in the world that can be watched live on home TV. Live broadcasting technology works behind this.

In which many technical experts convey the whole vision from the control room to millions of people.

Everyone will have fun watching the game or program live. Viewers are also entertained by placing a screen on the venue during a live program.

It happens that we are somewhere else and the screen is also somewhere else. When there is any such program, the entire program is made live by appointing one channel.

The method of broadcasting all these programs from the channel is called live broadcast. This requires an online broadcasting (OB) van.

There is a van controlling online broadcasting (OB) when there is a big event or game. The output of all the cameras in the ground comes through the cable in this control room.

These camera cables are processed and relayed from the recording room. This called a portable station.

Which has a dish and its cables are provided in the control room. There is a master monitor in which the live program appears.

This will appear on the TV as it appears on the screen. This whole control unit called the broadcasting room.

How the Broadcasting System works?

This system has computer TV screen, head monitor, panel, audio mixer, video mixer, talk back system, cables, system rack, battery rack, speaker, jack monitor, graphics output monitor, chroma setup format.

There are as many screens as there are languages to relay. Switching the ground report and commentary box during the broadcast is all done from one truck. This called a relay station broadcasting point.

The video edited in the live room of the truck and reach out us. The camera's tested before the program starts. A specific keyword used so that the entire cameraman can understand. Every cameraman follows the sequence.

All this needs to be done so that problems do not arise during live broadcasting. Video testing takes place when the stadium is empty. In video recording, if the seconds go back and forth, the defect will be realised.

Understand this Broadcasting System

The broadcast truck is a short distance from the stadium. It is configured in such a way that the output of the camera is clean.

It has separate dish trucks and control rooms. In which continuous video is coming from different cameras with the help of cable.

The scheduler decides where, what, how and for how long duration to relay. All cameramen have audio outputs.

The cameraman moves his lens as per the command given in the control room. We can't hear this conversation on TV because it doesn't relay.

Type of System

1 Studio Setup

There is teamwork in the studio. This constantly guides the anchor. The whole schedule of how much break to take is decided. This format works the same way a news channel does.

The advantage of this is that there is enough time for that subject. The studio has a large screen, cam shoot, lighting and an edit room. There is a lot of hard work in online broadcasting.

2 Online Broadcasting (OB) Relay

There is no special time when broadcasting is live. The OB relay has to record all the activities on the ground. Studio isn't requiring for OB relay.

Broadcasting studios are now being arranged outside the stadium for big events and World Cup games. It may or may not be in the city where the match takes place. In the OB relay system all this happens from that truck. This is a truck that has all the things of broadcasting.

Cameraman on the ground can't hear conversations from the studio in the noise of the public. He has to use earpieces to pay attention at work. The cameraman calls this a lifeline that helps listen to commands.

Relay time is 2 to 5 seconds

Relay time is the lowest in every city from which the country is to be live broadcasting. When relaying from foreign there is a difference of 2 to 5 seconds.

Running this system requires teamwork. Everyone on the team has a clear instruction that no argument. Everyone knows who wants what. The stronger the teamwork, the clearer the performance.

This Teamwork work in Broadcasting

1 Master Editor

The master editor decides what to take from each video and forwards it. There is special software for this that brings the video of the camera to the direct processing zone.

The master editor decides which video to keep. The master editor commands the cameraman for the desired video angle. The work of a master editor is important in broadcasting.

2 Online Editor

The online editor gives the cameraman and the photographer an idea of what movement to take. The online editor selects good footage.

3 Sub Editor

The sub editor edits what is needed from each video and delivers it to the master. The object that appears live does not appear in the replay.

This work done by a sub editor and uses a special type of software for it. Such software is not available without a license. There is a cameraman who records every activity except the match.

4 Video Analyst

The video analysts works on a request from the ground. Video Analyst has the power to watch certain parts of the video fast or slow.

Video analysts coordinate with online editor. The commentary box has a separate monitor that shows what will come next and what topics to talk about.

Conclusion

You read about broadcasting technology in this blog. If you want to watch live, you don't have to go to that place anymore. Through this technology the program TV purge can be seen live. Hope you liked this blog.
